The Chinese government officially released statistics on occupational diseases, close to one million people at the end of 2018. The opinion made in this news is that statistics on occupational diseases may not be accurate because of low rates of health screenings designed to detect conditions arising from workplace activities, as well as flaws in the country’s employment system. What’s more, a much broader population is exposed to workplace hazards, and they deserve more attention.
